Nollywood actress and producer Funke Akindele has responded to criticism from a concerned netizen who questioned her decision to wear a ring on her â€œmarriage fingerâ€ despite being divorced.

The netizen, identified as @OriretanHonour on X, argued that it was unwise for the actress to continue wearing the ring, claiming it might deter potential suitors.

He wrote: â€œFunke, it is unwise to still wear a ring on your marriage finger knowing you are divorced. Even worse, it might chase away your future husband. Little things count now that you are still famous, hot, and rich. Mind your public acts. Remove the ring now. You need a man in your life ASAP. Act fast. Be wise.â€

In response, Akindele dismissed the concern, saying her priority is financial stability.

â€œI need money! That is the koko,â€ she wrote.

Funke Akindele has been married and divorced twice.

She married her first husband, Mr. Oloyede, on May 26, 2012, but the couple divorced in July 2013 due to irreconcilable differences. Her second marriage to JJC Skillz ended in 2022 after they welcomed twins together.

In an interview with Wazobia FM last year, Akindele addressed her marital history, asserting that being divorced twice does not make her a failure.
